Trees are just nice to be around. They are relaxing. They are comforting. They offer a silent exchange of well being between humans and nature.
However, most people in the UK live in urban communities, our work is done in buildings, a lot of our leisure time is also in enclosed spaces and travel often involves passing through large buildings such as stations and airports.
It is obviously difficult to transfer such splendid, tranquil and imposing natural environments into settings such as offices, hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, large atriums and airport terminals etc.
But as can be seen from the examples here, there is a way to provide the ascetic pleasure that real trees bring using an artificial alternative.
